The ABC system will be composed by 4 independent and interoperable modules. The ABC system will get information about user state in order to: a) Generate control commands (BNCI processing Module) as input b) to Augmented Communication Module, c) support DCP users to understand and express their emotions (Affective Computing Module) and d) Assess the clinical state and track the learning progress (Health Module).
The BNCI would take advantage would take advantage of users cognitive capability to get over their motor and speech disabilities, enabling a more fluent and reliable communication and environmental control. BNCI would in addition be able to detect and classify the emotional state, and use this information for modulating the message, increasing non verbal aspect of communication. User involvement (DCP users, their relatives, caregivers and professionals) will be guaranteed with their active participation since definition of needs and requirements to validation and test in real conditions. Moreover, new specific User Centered Design Methodologies, non dependent on physical or speech capability, will be developed to make easier participation of DCP people.
Mainstream applications of ABC system, or its 4 Modules, have detected in Gaming, learning, safety at work and driving industry.
