ISCTE/Audax in partnership with the MIT School of Engineering, the Deshpande Center, and the MIT Sloan School of Management, recently launched the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative. This is a venture competition that aims to connect innovators with investors and in which the grand finalist can be funded with up to €400k.

The competition is held in 4 tracks:

1) Sustainable Energy & Transportation Systems;

2) Lifesciences;

3) Information Technology and the Web;

4) Products and Services. In a first stage, the jury selects 5 semi-finalists projects per track (20 in total) from all the submissions, in a second stage one finalist from each track is selected after a series of trials, and in the end a grand Finalist will be selected after a full value proposition and presentation televised to a national audience..

PLUX responded to the invitation for project submission, and after evaluation by an international jury consisting of elements from the ISCTE and the MIT, was selected as one of the 5 semi-finalists in the Lifesciences track.
